Working with journalists and social media communicators is a great way to expand your reach and increase awareness of your business. It doesn’t have to be complicated or take up too much of your time if done well.
Each chapter of this Mini Masterclass will guide you to create effective relationships with the media, who in turn can support a profitable business for you and become loyal ambassadors.
What are the aims of this Mini Masterclass?
Small and medium sized vineyards (and small artisanal businesses) may not have the budget or resources to support PR as part of their marketing strategy. In this Mini Masterclass I have combined my 25 years of working in PR and Marketing - within an agency, as a client and as a journalist - along with feedback from renowned PR experts, journalists and social media communicators to provide tips and insights that are easy to implement now or to take on board for the future - essentially a toolkit offering practical tips and insights into working more effectively with the media.
Why now?
The media landscape is constantly changing, news travels faster than sound these days, but it is also cluttered with information. How does a small business, with limited funds and resources stand out from the crowd when they’ve got something to promote, launch or say?
Today, many vineyards offer more than just wine. Expanding revenue streams into new areas makes commercial sense, especially in regions where vintage variation is high. As vineyards expand into tourism or offer wine experiences, as well as their wine products, media interest will inevitably follow, especially if the vineyard is offering something truly unique.
Knowing how to work with the media comes with protocols and processes which many journalists and communicators expect businesses to follow when engaging with them. Knowing how to work effectively with the media is a win-win situation for them and for you.
What can you expect from these Mini Masterclasses?
This Mini Masterclass is split into individual chapters, each offering practical hints and tips to work with the media more effectively.
Each chapter comes with a takeaway page at the end as a reminder of its respective topic for you and your team to keep on hand for future reference.
